Girl in Green

This is my latest head-painting from Don Seegmiller's class. I love how her eyes turned out!

Rapunzel's Sorceress

This is a painting I did of the Sorceress in the story of Rapunzel. After discovering that Rapunzel had frequent visits from a prince, she cut off her hair, cast her into the wilderness and then tricked the prince into climbing the tower one last time. She told him that Rapunzel was dead, and he was so distraught, that he threw himself from the tower and landed in bushes of thorns. This gouged his eyes so that he was blind, and he wondered aimlessly through the wilderness until he finally found Rapunzel again.

5-6 Hour Headpainting

This is one of the longer studies that we did in my Headpainting class. It's fun to be able to spend more time on detail and development!

Some of my influences...

WATERHOUSE DE GAS CHRISTIANSEN
These are a few pieces from some of my favorite artists. They are the inspiration for me as I do my own work. I absolutely love the sense of shape, motion, line, light and contrast that each artist has developed within their work

Light and Truth

This was a piece I did for class interpretting "light" and "truth" and how it can lead us out of the darkness and take away our fears. I love how the drapery worked, especially since I did it completely from my head! (a risky move)
2-3 hour head-painting. Limited Pallet
